Last Saturday, I heard a ringing bell, and looked out our window to see this adorable choo choo scooting down the street full of parents and kids. Next, our wonderful new neighbor, Connie, was at the door asking if Brady could come out and play. She had seen the train, knew whose birthday it was, and wanted to have Brady ready the next time it came around. So we went outside and she and Brady hopped aborad. Isn't it adorable!?
Ooh...the driver doesn't look the happiest in this picture. I hope Brady was a good passenger! The birthday boy is right behind Brady. There are three boys on our street turning 2 within a month of each other.

First Haircut
I don't know who was more upset, Brady or me! They had a great setup at the place we went. The kids could sit in a car and watch the movie 'Cars'. (Brady's favorite) They also handed out lollipops before any cutting began. Nevertheless, Brady wasn't going for it. He wouldn't sit in the little car, wouldn't put on the bib, and he screamed the whole time. I told the lady I didn't want to cut too much off the back, but that the sides needed to be shortened, to which she replied, 'are you asking me to give him a mullet?' I said that wasn't what I had in mind, but that I didn't think ALL those curls needed to go. She asked if I wanted a shag, 'like Zack and Cody'? 'Who the heck are Zack and Cody?' I wondered as I proceeded to nod my head. The next thing I knew, all the curls were gone...

Though I cried when we left the shop, I'm used to it now. He looks pretty cute!

Thanksgiving in DC
Where to begin? We had the time of our lives visiting Ivy, Ken, and Io in DC for Thanksgiving. Here are a couple snaps from our long weekend.
I couldn't resist getting them matching jammies. They were so cute (and extremely warm!).
Thanksgiving was lovely, and we felt fortunate to have such a wonderful meal (this becomes important when you're working with a dorm microwave and fridge until your kitchen remodel is over) with such lovely people. We went to Ken's parents and they prepared a feast, complete with maybe the best apple pie I have ever tasted! Below Brady and Io are watching trains out the window. Due to lack of sleep, Brady is having a tough day...Io is patting his back reassuringly.
Ken's mom, 'Mama PJ', knew how to get these kids going! She brought out these 'noodles' and they went nuts! The noise level more than doubled as they giggled and played with these!

The Gator and The Man Jams
The following are pictures of the hand-me-down of the week! Tremendous thanks again to Ang, Jeff, Allegra, and Aurora for another wonderful toy! After a new battery, the Gator came to life - although maybe a bit too much life (now he's a bit scared of it!)
In this picture, Brady is wearing new jammies that make him look so old. We've been calling them his 'man jams' and he never wants to take them off! Happy Thanksgiving!

Choo Choo!
Christmas came early this year, as Brady was the lucky recipient of Allegra and Aurora's train table! Brady has already logged some SERIOUS hours playing with the 'choo choo'. He also likes to tell everyone that now comes to our house (including painters, contractors, etc.) that he has a choo choo, and LOVES when they are gracious enough to come and see it in his room!

Midwest Adventures!
Here are a couple pics from our 2 week getaway to Montana, Minnesota, and North Dakota. Between his first kiss, riding in Papa's tractor, and learning to play Wii with Nana, Brady had the time of his life!

Halloween
I've finally decided to give into the pressure and begin blogging a bit about Brady. That way, I won't need to spam everybody with our monthly load of pictures, and readers can check it whenever they like!
Here are a couple pics from Halloween last week. Having been out of town for two weeks and moving right before that, I wasn't as prepared as I would have liked to have been. So, I was relieved when I found this dalmation costume at the store. It said it was for 2-4T (Brady just started wearing 3T so I thought it would be fine - WRONG!!!) I had to crank the shoulders up over his arms and it was up to his knees! Poor thing! He was a trooper and even kept the little hood on during our trick-or-treating adventure.

The night got better, I promise!
He's a sweet tooth like me, and LOVES Tootsie Rolls (thanks Tootsie!)
